Gotta love the aussies!

Winding down on their 2.5 week whirlwind tour of the American Southwest, Alberta and BC Canada, Kim and Chris came down to see us before going back to oz (and for Chris, to the midwest for work training). It's always fun having the aussies around and wish we had more friends like them up here! Although I had to work part of the weekend, Kim was a trooper and helped out!

Amie in NYC

Finally I made it out to NYC to visit Amie and dragged the boy with me. After a few late nights, a couple of bagels, pizza, taking in the sights and walking walking walking, we were able to spectate at the US Open (Safin v. Rochus).

Oliver Twist Winery & Ironman Canada

The triathlete that is my fiance needed to sign up in person for Ironman Canada 2007. Incidentally Denice and Bruce live just about 1/2 an hour's drive from the race's start with the cyclists race right past the road to their winery. We stayed with them for the weekend, wine tasting, learning about the vineyard, but camped out in line for Wes to get a spot in next year's race.

Denny's Visit

Wes's dad was visiting for about a week. One Saturday after a tasty brekkie at Julia's, we walked around Hempfest (where my friend Russell was selling his wares). Saw some interesting characters like the hemp fairy and hempman. From there we trekked on up to the Sun River Ranch for a first meeting of the fathers. Had a relaxing time on the ranch picking fruit, playing with the dogs down on the river beach, visiting with the Viks.
